    Awesom Instant Potatoes

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 2/3 cups water
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
    • 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
    • 1 package dry ranch dressing mix
    • 5 1/3 cups betty crocker potato buds


    Instructions


    1. Heat water, butter, salt, pepper, cream cheese, sour cream and ranch dressing to boiling in a large pot.
    2. When it begins to boil, remove from heat and stir in dry potato buds and whisk until moistened.
    3. Let stand for about 30 seconds.
    4. Then whip with a hand mixer.
    5. You may need to adjust the consistency by adding more hot water or more potato buds.
    6. Important: It is important that you use Betty Crocker Potato Buds. Other brands will not work as well.
    7. These can be made in advance and refrigerated.
    8. To serve, simply heat and serve.
