Indiana Butterscotch Pie

- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 cups milk
- Meringue:
- 2 egg whites
- Pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
- Dash vanilla
Instructions
- Melt brown sugar and butter in saucepan. Add rest of ingredients. Cook until thick in double boiler. Put in baked pie crust. Top with meringue; for meringue just beat all the ingredients together with mixer until soft peaks form. After topping with meringue bake in oven until meringue slightly turns brown in color.
