    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pound lean ground beef or turkey
    • 1 (2.5 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
    • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
    • 1/3 cup sliced ripe olives (optional)
    • 1 (15 ounce) can hunts tomato sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sugar twin or sprinkle sweet (optional)
    • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
    • 1 (7.5 ounce) can pillsbury refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
    • 1/3 cup fat free shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/3 cup reduced fat shredded mozzarella cheese


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350.

    2. Spray an 8x8" baking dish with olive oil cooking spray.

    3. In a large skillet sprayed with olive oil cooking spray, brown meat.

    4. Add mushrooms, green pepper, onion and olives.

    5. Mix well to combine.

    6. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar and italian seasoning.

    7. Remove skillet from heat.

    8. Separate biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.

    9. Gently stir biscuit pieces into meat mixture.

    10. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.

    11. Bake 20 minutes.

    12. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozarella cheese evenly over the top.

    13. Continue baking until cheese melts about 10 minutes.

    14. Place baking dish on a wire rack and let set 5 minutes.

    15. Cut into 6 servings.

    16. This dish freezes well.

    17. Makes 6 servings at 4.5 points each.

    I have made this using a bag of veggie crumbles and it turned out well.
