    AUNT MAGGIE'S CHEESE BALL

    Source of Recipe

    Aunt Maggie

    Recipe Introduction

Good on crackers, toast, bread, etc. tasty for breakfast or brunch!
1 recipe makes 2 1/2 large balls or 2 large and 1 small balls or 4 small balls.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    • 1 jar Old English Cheese
    • 1 Wedge blue cheese
    • 1 tsp. tabasco sauce
    • 1 Stick butter

    Instructions

    1. Blend together in mixer and shape into balls. Roll in chopped pecans. Refrigerate
    2. I use a dinner salad bowl for a large portion lined with plastic wrap. I place pecan halves in the bottom and fill the bowl with the cheese mixture to the top. Bring up the plastic wrap, snuggly, that is hanging over the bowl to cover bottom. Make flat. Remove from bowl, place (bottom side down) on a plate and refrigerate over night. After the balls are chilled, I pull the plastic wrap from the sides and cover the ball with chopped pecans and re-wrap with fresh wrap. I use the same method for the small balls using a custard cup! Makes great Christmas gifts!!

    Final Comments

The "wedge" of blue cheese can be to taste. I do it by sight, I guess I use about 1 oz.
