Recipe Introduction
Bake at 350F. Makes two loaves. Serves 8 to 10.
List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 TBS. chopped celery
- 2 tsp. salt/1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 TBS. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices soft bread cubes
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chili sauce
Instructions
- Mix the two meats together.
- Stir in the next seven ingredients.
- Soak bread in milk, add eggs. Beat with rotary beater. Combine the meat and egg mixture.
- Form into 2 loaves and roll each in bread crumbs.
- Spread 1/2 cup chili sauce over each loaf.
- Pour 1/2 cup boiling water around loaves.
- Bake at 350F for 1 hour.
