BRAISED CELERY

List of Ingredients
- 1 bunch celery
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 2 TBS. butter
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions
- Dissolve bouillon cube in the hot water.
- Wash and clean celery. Cut into 3 inch pieces and dry thoroughly.
- Saute' celery in hot butter until lightly browned and tender. Add bouillon to liquid in pan and baste until all absorbed.
Final Comments
Could be placed in a casserole dish with 1 tsp. of flour added to bouillon after celery has browned. Cover with bread crumbs dotted with butter. Bake for 30 minutes in an 350F oven.
To make creamier, in the baked version, use 1/2 cup of hot water with 1/2 a bouillon cube add to a 1/2 cup of milk.
