American Shepherd's Pie

List of Ingredients






· 1 lb. ground beef

· 1/2 C. chopped onion

· 1/2 C. chopped celery

· 1 (10.5-oz.) can condensed vegetable soup

· 1/2 tsp. dried thyme

· 3 C. hot, prepared mashed potatoes

· 1 C. shredded Colby or mild Cheddar cheese



Recipe



Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 2-quart baking
dish. In a large skillet over medium high heat, stir and cook ground
beef, onion and celery until juices run clear. Drain. Stir soup and
thyme into ground beef and mix well.

Pour into baking dish and spread hot, prepared mashed potatoes
over the top. Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top
and bake for 5 minutes more, or until cheese has melted. Serves 4 to
6.
