    Pepper Steak

    List of Ingredients






    2 lb. round steak
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    1 3/4 c. water
    1 beef bouillon cube, OR 1 tsp. beef bouillon granules
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
    2 green bell peppers, cut in strips

    Recipe



    Cut steak into 1/2" strips. Mix salt, pepper and flour. Dredge meat and brown in hot oil Reserve remaining seasoned flour.

    Drain tomatoes, reserve liquid. Add tomato liquid, water, beef bouillon, onion and garlic to the meat in the skillet. Cover and simmer 1 1/4 hr. Add green pepper and Worchestershire. Simmer 5 minutes. Blend in tomatoes and reserved flour. Simmer until thickened. Serve with noodles or rice.

    Serves 6.
