Recipe Introduction
This is a tasty lowfat vegan chili.
It has complete protein.
List of Ingredients
- 8 oz can kidney beans
- 1 white onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 16 oz can tomatos, chopped
- 1 cup brown rice, dry ( or another wholegrain)
- 2 TBSP chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp iodized sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Fry onions in a large pot until browned.
- Drain the kidney beans.
- Add all ingredients to the pot.
- Bring to a boil, lower heat, simmer until rice is tender.
Final Comments
A grain, a legume(bean), and a vegetable combined form complete protein.
