    Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 30 to 35 minutes

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    3/4 cup butter, melted
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 cup flour
    3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    1/4 to 1/2 cup instant espresso powder
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    Powdered sugar (optional garnish)

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°F and spray an 11 X 7-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

    Stir together brown sugar, butter, sugar, vanilla and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in remaining ingredients except powdered sugar, stirring until just combined.

    Spread into prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan before cutting into bars. Lightly dust with powdered sugar before serving, if you like. Makes 18 bars.
