Easy " No-Peek" Beef
This is a family and friends favorite. I always get requests for the recipe.. because it's really good
I like the recipe because it's really easy!
List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. stew meat cut into one inch cubes
- 1 Can Campbells cream of mushroom soup (Undilluted)
- 1 12 oz. Jar of whole mushrooms
- 1 Envelope Lipton Onion-mushroom dry soup mix
- 1/3 Cup semi-dry red wine
- 6 Cups of cooked rice/ or egg noodles
- * Optional 2 T of corn starch
Instructions
- 2 quart crock pot
- Add Beef, soup(s)
- Mix together
- Add wine
- Cook on low for 5 hours
- Add mushrooms
- Cook one more hour
- Serve over rice
- Garnish with fresh or dried Savory
- * Corn starch can thicken the sauce if you like.
Final Comments
Great when left over ( almost never)
But goes a long way to use up bread & buns
