NORMA'S POTATO SALAD

My mother used both dill and sweet pickles to make her salad, I liked the sweet like my dad, but others in my family liked the dill like my mom, so she used both. I did not specify, so use what you like.
List of Ingredients
1 lbs potatoes
1 small onion chopped finely
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 stalks celery, chopped finely
3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
2 medium pickles
1 tsp prepared mustard
½ tsp celery seed
Recipe
Cook potatoes until over medium heat until tender. Drain and cool. Chop into medium size cubes; add celery, eggs and pickles. Assemble dressing and add to potatoes. Allow to set in refrigerator 2 hours. Best the second day. May add other ingredients, radishes, and olives. Potatoes may absorb more so additional mayonnaise may be called for.
