- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 bottle (8 oz) taco sauce
- 12 taco shells broken; divided
- 1 small onion,chopped
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese; divided
- 1 taco seasoning pkg
- chopped tomato for garnish
- sour cream for garnish
Instructions
- Brown meat and onion; drain.
- Stir in taco sauce, water and seasoning mix; bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Stirring once or twice.
- Layer half of broken shells on bottom of baking dish.
- Cover with half meat mixture and sprinkle half cheese.
- Repeat in order given.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
- An 11X7" baking dish works the best for this dish!
