Linda's Cheesecake Brownies

1 19.8 oz. pkg. fudge brownie mix
1 c. walnuts, almonds or pecans, chopped
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350.
Prepare the brownie mix according to pkg. directions. Add nuts, and mix in.
Pour into a greased 9x13" baking pan.
Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer, on med. speed, until smooth.
Add sugar, and mix until well blended.
Add egg and vanilla. Mix just until well blended.
Pour cream cheese mixture over brownie mixture.
Cut through batter several times with a knife, for a marbled effect.
Bake for 35-40 mins., or until cream cheese mixture is lightly
browned. Cool.
Cut into squares.
