    1/2 lb. fresh snap beans
    3 T. bacon drippings
    4-5 new potatoes, soaked in water with a little soda, then scraped
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. boiling water

    Recipe



    Combine all the ingredients in a small stew pan. Cover with a tight fitting lid. Cook over med. heat 5 mins.

    Reduce heat, and cook about 15 mins. longer.

    The beans should be tender crisp.
