Sweet Potato Balls

These look like they would be a great appetizer for fall. I'm putting it here for safe keeping.
List of Ingredients
1 lb sweet potatoes
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, minced
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 teaspoon ginger
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 pinch cayenne
1/4 cup oil (for frying)
2 cups breadcrumbs
Recipe
Cook sweet potatoes. Mash them with everything except the oil and breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil over medium heat. Place the breadcrumbs in a bowl. Form balls by dropping tablespoons full off sweet potato into the breadcrumbs and roll.
Fry each (several at a time) in the oil, rolling to brown all sides. Drain on paper towels. Serve with a dark beer.
