    Chocolate-Banana Yogurt Freeze

    Recipe Introduction

    Plan ahead….needs to chill for at least 6 hours and uses ice cream freezer. Chocolate-Banana Yogurt Freeze
    Serves: 8

    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. Hershey’s Cocoa
    1-1/2 c. (12 0z. can) evaporated skim milk
    1 container (8 oz.) plain nonfat yogurt
    1/2 c. ripe mashed banana
    1 tsp. vanilla

    In medium microwave-safe bowl or 4 cup, stir together sugar and cocoa. Stir in milk. Microwave on high 2-3 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil; stir with whisk until smooth. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

    Stir in yogurt, banana and vanilla. Cover; refrigerate until cold, about 6 hours.

    Pour mixture into 1-qt. ice cream freezer container. Freeze according to manufacturer’s directions

    (If harder texture is desired. Spoon into container; cover and freeze until desired consistency).

    One serving equals: 140 calories…6 gm protein…29 gm carbohydrate…0 gm fat…0 mg cholesterol…80 mg sodium
