    5 granny smith apples, peeled, cored & sliced
    1 package (9 oz) yellow cake mix (half of a regular package)
    2 tbsps sugar
    1 tbsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

    Recipe




    Preheat oven 350°F. Cut apples in half crosswise. Place in dish. Sprinkle dry
    cake mix over apples. Combine sugar and cinnamon mixture and sprinkle over
    cake mix. Drizzle w/ butter. Bake 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender.
    Serve warm w/ whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
