Simmer equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan for about 5 minutes until the sugar is totally dissolved. Stir constantly. Do not allow to boil.
Cool throughly and store in a covered jar in the refrigerator. The syrup can be kept refrigerated for up to 1 month.
