SPRD: Garlic and Herb Cheese Spread

This is a nice appetizer spread to serve with Carr's table crackers. Make sure you allow flavors to meld at least 6 hours, preferably longer.

Garlic and Herb Cheese Spread

1 package cream cheese (8 oz) -- softened
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon fresh garlic -- minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons fresh parsley -- chopped
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/8 teaspoon savory
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon pepper
crackers or raw vegetables -- cut into strips
In a medium bowl, with electric mixer or wooden spoon, beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in cream until blended.
On wax paper; with the side of a knife blade, mash garlic with salt until it forms a paste. Stir into cheese along with parsley, Worcestershire sauce and remaining seasonings. Cover. Refrigerate several hours or overnight to blend flavors. Serve with crackers or use as dip for vegetables.
