    Recipe Introduction

    The Tomato Sauce can be minimized in this recipe if a person has a problem with the acid effect of tomatoes.

    List of Ingredients

    4 large Green Pepper
    1 pound ground beef or turkey
    1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 cup cooked rice
    1 cup tomato sauce
    1/2 cup onion -- chopped

    Recipe


    Prepare peppers

    cook in boiling water for 5 minutes (covered) and drain

    cook and stir ground beef and onion until meat is brown; drain excess fat.

    stir in garlic powder and rice and 3/4 cup tomato sauce.

    heat through

    stand peppers upright in an 8 by 8 inch pan

    bake at 350° for 45 minutes

    cover with remaining sauce and bake 15 minutes longer.
