    Meatloaf with Sour Cream Pastry

    List of Ingredients

    2 1/4 C flour
    1 tsp salt
    12 T chilled butter
    1 egg
    1/2 C sour cream

    Recipe

    Sift dry ingredients, cut in butter to a coarse meal. In small bowl combine egg and sour cream. Add to flour mixture until a soft and pliable dough. Chill 1 hour.
    To use for meatloaf, divide in half and roll out into 2 rectangles. Place one rectangle on cookie sheet and shape the meat into a loaf on the pastry. Cover with second pastry, wash with a milk and egg brush and crimp edges together to seal. Use a fork to punch vents in top of loaf. If meat is precooked, bake at 375 for 45 minutes, Otherwise follow directions for cooking the meatloaf adding a few extra minutes.
