1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. corn meal
3 Tbsp. Shortening
1 beaten egg
3/4 cup milk
1 pkg. hot dogs

Cut together flour, baking powder, salt, corn meal, and shortening.
Add egg and milk and mix until moistened.
Heat deep fryer to 375°.
Insert sticks into hot dogs, dip in batter and place in hot fat.
Fry 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
