Upsidedown Apple Pie

Cookbook Just What The Doctor Ordered
1 pkg of refrigerated pie crusts
Coating:
1 package of chopped pecans--about 1 cup
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
Filling:
1 cup sugar
6 to 8 Granny Smith apples or your choice of apples
1 rounded teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch grated nutmeg
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 T. oleo
1 deep dish glass pie pan
Mix coating ingredients together and put in bottom of pie pan.
Put one of the pie crusts on top of the coating mix.
Add the sliced apples that have been mixed with spices and flour. Dot with oleo pieces.
Put second pie crust on top of apples. Pinch pie crust edges together.
Prick holes on top of crust with fork.
Bake one hour at 350 degrees.
Let stand in pan five minutes. (No longer)
Invert pie onto a dish or tray.
This is a delicious pie and presentation is gorgeous.
It is so easy to make too.
