Dip- Chipped Beef Dip

2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
1/4 cup milk 1 (8-ounce) carton commercial sour cream
1/4 cup dried minced onion
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1 (21/2-ounce) jar sliced dried beef, chopped
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
Place cream cheese in a 1-quart casserole; microwave at HIGH 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds. Stir until cream cheese is smooth and creamy. Stir in milk, sour cream, onion, garlic powder, pepper, chopped green pepper, and chopped dried beef, mixing well.
Spread mixture evenly in a 9-inch pie plate; set aside.
Place butter in a 1-cup glass measure; microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or until melted. Toss pecans with butter; sprinkle evenly over cream cheese mixture. Microwave at MEDIUM (50% power) 7 to 8 minutes, giving dish a quarter-turn after 4 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve with unsalted crackers. Yield: 4 cups
