3 tablespoon minced onion
1 1/2 cups finely chopped fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried whole thyme
3 tablespoons commercial sour cream
Cream Cheese Pastry
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 (3-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Recipe
Saute minced onion and chopped mushrooms in butter. Add flour, salt, and thyme, stirring until smooth; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in sour cream; set mixture aside.
Roll pastry out to 1/8-inch thickeness on a lightly floured board; cut into rounds with a 3-inch cutter. Place 1 teaspoonful mushroom mixture in center of each circle; moisten edges of circles with water. Fold circles in half; press edges together with a fork dipped in flour. Prick top with a fork.
Place on ungreased baking sheets; bake at 425 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield about 2 1/2 dozen.
Pastry:
Combine butter and cream cheese; beat well. Add flour; mix until smooth. Chill several hours.
