Muffin- Raisin-Pecan Ginger Muffins

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped pecans
½ cup raisins
Recipe
Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl; set aside.
Combine butter and molasses in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat until the butter melts. Remove from heat.
Make a well in center of flour mixture. Add molasses mixture, buttermilk, and egg, stirring just until ingredients are moistened. Stir in chopped pecans and raisins.
Spoon mixture into greased muffin pans, filling three-fourths full. Bake at 325 degrees for 18 minutes or until done.
Yield: 1 1/2 dozen.
