    Recipe Introduction


    These Bloody Eyeballs are Laurel Kates favorite Halloween Treat.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1-1/2 Cups peanut butter
    • 1/2 Cup margarine
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 (16oz.) pkg. powdered sugar
    • 1 (6oz.) pkg. white chocolate chips
    • 2 Tbs. solid shortening
    • M&M's
    • Red and Black Glaze:
    • made by mixing a small amount of powdered sugar, water and food coloring.


    Instructions


    1. Mix first 4 ingredients by hand to make a smooth dough.
    2. Form dough into small balls. Place on waxed paper. Put into refrigerator.
    3. In a double boiler, melt white chocolate chips and shortening.
    4. Dip balls in white chocolate and add a blue, green or brown M&M to each.
    5. Finish with a little red glaze blood and dot a black glaze pupil.
    6. TIP: Place glaze into a sandwich bag, snip of the corner and squeeze.


    Final Comments


    For a less ghoulish version, try dipping in regular melted semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can also drizzle a little white chocolate over the top as a decorative touch.
