Oatmeal Chip Cookies

List of Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup shortening, margarine or butter
- 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1-1/4 Cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2-3/4 Cups quick cooking rolled oats
- 2 Cups semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375
- In a large bowl, beat margarine and sugars together.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat until creamy.
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add sugar mixture, mixing well.
- Stir in oats and chips.
- Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack.
