Banana Pudding Poke Cake

1 box yellow cake mix
2 (3.4 oz.) packages instant banana pudding
4 cups milk
8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
20 vanilla wafers, crushed
Recipe
Prepare cake mix according to package directions for a 9x13 cake. Once cake comes out of oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes.With a wooden spoon handle poke holes in the cake. Make the holes big so the pudding can get down in the cake. Be sure to poke right down to the bottom of the cake. In a bowl whisk the pudding mix with 4 cups milk. Stir until lumps are gone. Pour pudding over cake, right in the holes as much as possible. Spread it all out and using the back of a spoon gently push pudding down into the holes. Put the cake into the fridge to set and cool about 2 hours. Once it has completely cooled, spread on Cool Whip. Spread crushed vanilla wafers over top of cake.
Keep refrigerated.
