    1 pound light brown sugar
    1 cup sugar
    3 sticks butter, softened
    5 eggs
    3 cups flour
    ½ tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp maple flavoring
    1 cup milk

    Recipe



    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Mix flour, salt and baking powder together. Add flavorings to milk. Add flour and milk mixture alternately to batter, starting and ending with flour. Put in greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1¼ hours until toothpick comes out clean.
