    List of Ingredients




    1 cup hot water
    1 stick butter
    ½ cup lard
    8 T cocoa
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups self-rising flour
    2 eggs
    ½ cup buttermilk
    1 tsp vanilla

    Recipe



    In a medium saucepan, bring water to boil; add cocoa, butter and lard. Stir until melted.
    In a medium bowl whisk together sugar and flour. Stir in eggs, buttermnilk and vanilla. Combine mixtures, stir only until blended. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 baking pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
