Garlic Swiss Steak

2 lb top round steak/stewing beef
1 C flour
Salt
Freshly ground pepper
3 tbsp butter
12 oz can beer
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard
4 cloves garlic-or to taste-chopped
Recipe
Dredge steak with flour, salt and pepper. Brown quickly on both sides in buttered skillet or oven-proof stew pot. Cover with beer, vinegar, mustard and garlic. Cover and place in 350 degree oven, until tender, about 1 – 1½ hrs. If gravy thickens too much ad beef stock or water. Serve with mashed potatoes. Enjoy. Serves 4 - 6.
