Recipe Introduction
This is a a perfect one-pot meal and a good way to use any leftover ham bones. Reminds me of my grandmother's green beans.
List of Ingredients
1 leftover ham bone, or a bone-less piece of ham steak
2 lbs fresh green beans
6 small white potatoes, cleaned, peeled and quartered
Salt, freshly ground black pepper and hot sauce to taste
Recipe
Cut green beans to 2-inch lengths
Place the ham bone or ham steak in a heavy saucepan with water to cover and bring to a boil
Add the beans and remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour
Season to taste and serve hot.
