    Brownie Cookies

    8 ounces semi sweet chocolate
    3 tablespoons butter
    1/4 cup all purpose flour
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup semi sweet chocolate morsels
    2 1/4 cups walnuts, chopped

    Preheat oven to 350° F. Melt the semi sweet chocolate and the butter over low heat or in the microwave. Stir until smooth. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla at high speed until combined. Slowly beat in the cooled chocolate, next add the dry ingredients until just blended but smooth. Stir in the chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on lined cookie sheets. Line with either parchment paper or aluminum foil. Bake 10-12 minutes. Be careful not to over bake. Cool on rack. These cookies may be made ahead of time and frozen.

    Yield: 50 cookies
