    This recipe was given to me by my mom ~

    Recipe Introduction


    My mom says she gave me this recipe and I adopted as my own. I make it every year for Thanksgiving and everyone loves it. Even if you don't like Yams! this one is more of a dessert (sweet) than anything.

    List of Ingredients




    3 Cups yams (I use 2 large canned yams)
    2 eggs
    1 Cup sugar
    1 Tsp vanilla
    1\2 Cup butter (no substitutes)
    1\2 cup milk

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients until creamy and pour into casserole dish.

    Struesal Topping:

    1 Cup brown sugar packed
    1\2 Cup flour
    1\3 Cup butter (no substitutes)

    Blend until crumbly (do not use mixer - I use food processor) - - sprinkle on top of yam mixture.

    Bake 350* about 25 minutes or until crusty brown.

    Tip: Make ahead and refrigerate then heat up just before dinner.
