    1 egg 2 cups of Graham flour, 1 cup of white flour, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon of melted shortening, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 cup of chopped walnuts, 1 1/2 cups of sour milk.

    Sift together dry ingredients, add egg, sour milk, molasses, nut meats and shortening.

    Bake in moderate 350 oven for nearly 1 hour.

    Use loaf pans.
