    List of Ingredients




    1 cup sugar
    1 cup flour
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 cup chopped nuts
    1 cup chopped dates
    1/2 cup milk
    2 cups water
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 tablespoon margarine
    Whipped cream for serving (optional)

    Recipe



    Combine first seven ingredients. Batter will be thick. Spread in 9x13" baking pan. In a pan, mix water, brown sugar and margarine. Bring to a boil. Pour over batter mix and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with whipped cream.
