1 quart (approx. 1 lb) dill cucumbers
1/4 tsp. alum
1/4 clove garlic
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1 large piece dillRecipe
Fill quart jar with dill cumcumbers. Add garlic, salt and alum. Fill jar to top with cold water, place large piece of dill on top of cucumbers in jar. Keep in warm place till pickles turn murky, then clear again. Then store in cool place.
