    List of Ingredients


    • 1 large cabbage
    • 2 large onions
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 cup white vinegar
    • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
    • 3 tsps celery seed
    • 3/4 cup salad oil


    Instructions


    1. Finely chop cabbage.
    2. Thinly slice onions.
    3. Toss cabbage, onion and 3/4 cup sugar and salt.
    4. Let stand while making the following dressing.
    5. Mix vinegar, mustard, 1/4 cup sugar and celery seed in saucepan.
    6. Bring to a boil.
    7. Add oil.
    8. While bubbling pour over cabbage mixture and stir.
    9. Chill overnight.
    10. Keeps several weeks in refrigerator.
