Anita's wonderful Brownies
List of Ingredients
This was e-mailed to me by my mom. Her friend brought these to a quilting retreat that she just went to...so thank you Anita for the recipe.
2 Sqares unsweetened chocolate
1 C. Canola Oil
2 C. Sugar
3 Large Eggs
1 1/2 C. Unbleached Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder (fresh)
1 tsp. Salt
Optional: 1 C. Chopped Walnuts (or peanuts if you prefer)
2 1/2 C. Miniature Marshmallows
6 - 8 oz. Miniature M&M's
Melt chocolate in oil in microwave. Cool slightly. Add sugar and eggs in the order shown. (Be sure that the eggs do not cook in
the warmed oil/chocolate).
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour salt and baking powder.
Pour chocolate mixture into flour and mix by hand 50 strokes.
At this point we added walnuts, marshmallows and about a 1/2 of a 12oz. bag of miniature M&M's. Toss quickly to cover all (&
not melt)
Pour into a greased and floured 9x13" pan and bake in 350 degree oven for about 28 - 30 minutes.
Cool at least 15 minutes before turning out onto rack. (Or not if you cut in the pan)
Store in a sealed container.
This recipe has been passed around my family forever. It's Meggies favorite. Hope you all enjoy!!! Recipe
