Sour Cream Cut Out Cookies

List of Ingredients





2 cups sugar
2 cups sour cream (16 oz. package)
2 tsp salt
6 cups flour
2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups shortening
2 well-beaten eggs
ICING
1 stick of butter, softened
2 lbs confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup milk (approx)
food coloring


Recipe




Mix sugar, flour, soda, nutmeg, and salt.
Add shortening.
Add eggs and part of the sour cream.
Cut into dry ingredients.
Add rest of sour cream.
Chill the dough for and hour or 2.
Roll out and cut with cookie cutters
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Cool, frost and decorate.
