    Scalloped Squash and Apples

    Got this recipe from Skye at Kitchen Table Cookbook


    2 lbs. butternut squash
    3 apples
    2 tbls. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon or apple pie spice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tbls. butter

    The amounts of all ingredients are approximate. Prepare this dish to suit your taste and bake it at whatever
    temperature you have your oven set.

    In baking dish arrange alternate layers of raw squash cut into thin slices and raw apple slices. Season each layer
    with a little brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and dots of butter. Cover loosely with foil. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour
    (more or less), stirring once or twice.
