1 lb. candy orange slices
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. coconut, shredded




Recipe



Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, salt, flour, and soda. Add gum drops chopped and coconut. Stir in 1 cup quick oatmeal. Chill dough. Roll into pieces the size of a walnut. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
