Cheesy Potato Beef Bake

1 lb. ground beef
2 cans (4 oz. each) drained mushrooms stems & pcs.
2 pkgs. au gratin potatoes
4 c. boiling water
1 1/3 c milk
2 Tbsp. butter
salt
seasoned salt
pepper
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe
In a skillet cook beef 'til done. Drain. Place in a 13 by 9 inch pan. Top with mushrooms. Combine potatoes & contents of sauce mix packets, water, milk, seasonings. Pour over beef & mushrooms. Cover & bake at 400 for 30 minutes or 'til heated through. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered for 5 minutes or 'til cheese melts. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
