16 cups sliced green tomatoes
4 cups sliced onions
1/3 cup pickling salt
3 cups vinegar
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 Tbsps pickling spice tied into a cheesecloth bag

Put tomatoes and onions into a large pot.Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight or for at least 8 hours.
Next day drain and rinse in cold water.Add vinegar and sugar.Put in spice bag.Bring to a boil and cook about 15 minutes.Remove spice bag.Bottle.
