    I usualy use this for a flan cake and fill it with berries and pudding..topped with whipped cream or ice-cream.

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup shortening
    1 egg
    1 cup sugar
    1 1/2 cups flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    2/3 cup milk
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/4 tsp almond or lemon extract

    Recipe



    Combine shortening,egg and sugar.Beat until fluffy.Sift together dry ingredients.Add to shortening mixture with milk and flavourings.Stir until smooth.Bake in a 9 inch pan at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
