    Recipe Introduction

    This is without a doubt the best pot roast recipe I have ever had!

    List of Ingredients

    1 3lb Beef Pot Roast
    1 pkg Good Seasons Italian Dressing (Dry)
    1 pkg Ranch Dressing mix (Dry)
    1 pkg Brown Gravy mix (Dry)
    2 cups water

    Recipe

    Brown the roast if you wish but it is not necessary.

    Place the roast in the pressure cooker.

    Add the Italian dressing mix, ranch dressing mix and brown gravy mix to the 2 cups of water. Stir with a whisk until all of the powders dissolve.

    Pour the mixture over the roast.

    Close the lid, set the pressure to high or 15psi.

    Cook the roast for 1 hour after the proper pressure is reached with the giggler gently rocking.

    When the time is up, let the pressure release naturally. Once the pressure is back to normal open the pressure cooker, remove the roast. Thicken the broth that is left (if necessary) and serve with the sides you have fixed.

    INSTANT POT: recipe alternatives
    Same ingredients as above.
    Place a small trivet on the bottom of the instant pot.
    Place roast on the trivet
    Mix the dry ingredients as above and pour the mixture over the roast.
    Seal the Instant pot and close the pressure relief valve
    Select manual or pressure cook Depending on your machine.
    Set pressure to high
    Set Time to 60 min
    Press start if your machine requires it.
    When time is up. Allow to natural release for 10-20 minutes.
    Release any remaining pressure
    Open, remove the roast
    If necessary you may thicken the gravy with a cornstarch slurry with the instant pot on saute'.
    Slice and serve.
