    Chocolate Caramel Bars

    List of Ingredients

    1/3 c evaporated milk
    1 (14-oz) pkg caramels
    1 pkg german chocolate cake mix
    1/3 c evaporated milk
    2/3 c melted margarine
    1 c chopped walnuts (optional)


    Recipe

    Melt the evaporated milk and caramels over low heat. Mix together the remaining ingredients. Put 1/2 of chocolate mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan and bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and sprinkle with 1 c chocolate chips. Pour on caramel mixture. Put on top layer with other 1/2 of mixture. Bake 15-18 minutes more.
