    MOCK ANGEL FOOD CAKE


    List of Ingredients


    • 2c. flour
    • 2c. granulated sugar
    • 1c. boiling water
    • 2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 6 egg whites
    • 1 tsp. cream of tarter
    • 1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract


    Instructions


    1. Sift flour and sugar together three times.
    2. Add boiling water and beat. Let cool.
    3. Add baking powder and salt. Beat hard again.
    4. Beat egg whites, cream of tarter and extract together until stiff.
    5. Fold batter carefully into the egg mixture.
    6. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes in a cookie sheet with sides.
